I lost track on time, on names, how to’s and all that…. The thrill and fear within me just dragged me away to details… Swept me away indeed….
My 2nd climb… Mt. Daraitan and sidetrip to Tinipak River.
I tried to invite some friends, but as expected the mountain isn’t calling them so they denied my appeal, hahaha… Before 3:00 AM I was infront of Puregold with the rest of the group waiting for Trail Insanity…
No planning. Nothing but spontaneous decisions and actions, I didn’t even think I was almost feeling the flu since Wednesday. But hey, based on experience, the best travel memories I had are those that weren’t planned… So there I was. And let the photos do most of the talking here... ^___^ (tamad pa ko magsulat eh haha)
The Mount Daraitan Summit and Tinipak River paid off every single sweat with aspiration to see more summit… The feeling of achievement was just awesome… I got 2, I told myself… Now I have so much respect to mountaineers… I only got 2 and I am so damn proud… what more for them!
Now what’s next? ^___^ Thank you Trail Insanity!
If you want details of this trip just check out Trail Insanity group on facebook and their posted trip details and itineraries, make some inquiry, they’ll be happy to answer you… same way you’ll be happy after… I’ll bet on that… (I’ll bet my job on that, just like the way my boss always asked me before lol!)

Saturday, after preparing a KFC inspired brunch, I was browsing my facebook and was stuck for a few minutes at Mam Rox’s wall… Then placed some comments asking about the event, a few seconds after I was chatting with Mam Rox, a few hours later I was at SM deposited Php 700.00 for all-in fees, bought a few things to bring and at 1:30 AM I found myself in Alabang waiting for a bus bound to Cubao.

After my first climb experience at Gulugod Baboy, I knew that it won’t stop from there. My only problem ever since was that I don’t have friends, close and common, who enjoy trails and treks. I’ve been wanting this for along time. It’s only now I get the nerves to do it, with or without a companion.
Last half up and last half down I almost gave up. I wasn’t really ready. I was sick for almost a week before that. I had no preparation prior to the climb, no walking, no running, not even a stretch of my legs for a week… Physically I wasn’t well. I felt some numbs, my heart even palpitated, my head felt empty, my knees trembled, I felt at some points I would collapse anytime… I just prayed and prayed and prayed…. Hahaha… Prayer… then mind… then determination. That I guess made it. Good thing, the mountain was jampacked and we got lots of "pahinga mode" or else I might not had coped up with their pace for sure. I was thankful too I am inline between a fun and funny group who instantly cracked jokes, ako naman nakikitawa… hahaha they diverted my thoughts and exhaustion… Salamat sa kanila… These are them...

How I wish I started this when I was on my 20’s, now at 35 I only have a few more years to catch a few more mountains… I am being realistic, it is true, climb while you are young and able and your knees are strong, may God grant me more…
Now what’s next? ^___^ Thank you Trail Insanity!
